Our team prides itself on taking the greatest precautions when it comes to your safety, all of our team members are certified in emergency first aid, CPR, and SKYWARN®, we maintain a safe distance from tornadic winds in order to ensure optimal safety, but close enough for you to see and feel the raw power of mother nature, we do daily inspections of our chase rigs before and during each chase to ensure optimal safety and reliability. Jordan Carruthers
Team Lead and Founder of Manitoba Storm Chasers and Vorticity Storm Tours, Jordan Carruthers is a father of 3 boys from Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. With over 14 years of Storm Chasing experience, Jordan has travelled all over North America chasing mother natures most extreme weather. With his first-hand experience with dangerous tornados, large hail, and damaging winds combined with his certifications in Emergency First Aid, and CPR. You can feel safe with him behind the wheel on your tour!
Kurtis Fafard
After several years of chasing together and becoming great friends with Jordan, Kurtis joined the Vorticity Storm Tours team in 2022, being the lead driver for the 2022 Tornado Alley Tour, Kurtis successfully led the tour towards multiple close-range tornado intercepts while maintaining safety as a #1 Priority, Kurtis has quickly become a great asset to the team and we are proud to have him on board!

No Storm Chasing Team is complete without a chase rig! H3LICITY is our 2006 Hummer H3 that has been fully coated Reflex Bedliner protecting it from damage from large hail and flying debris, She also has a protective laminate film on all glass surfaces to protect them from being shattered keeping us and our guests inside safe! on top of that H3LICITY is equipped with a Davis Vantage Vue weather station to give us raw live weather data during our chases, as well as 360° LED lighting for those times when we are travelling through disaster stricken areas in the dark, or performing nocturnal Search and Rescue, making our surroundings more visible, and keeping us safe from downed powerlines or other potential hazards!
